Camp Creators is an innovative program offered by Abilities in Action, designed to empower school-aged children to take the lead in their own learning and development of executive functioning skills. An enrichment program for children ages 4-10 designed by skilled feeding therapists to encourage children to explore food via sensory experiences and hands-on activities. LUNCH BUNCH/BREAKFAST CLUB is a play-based program that will focus on your child’s comfort level in exploring and learning about food using a stress-free and responsive approach. The group setting provides a naturalistic opportunity for peer modeling while exploring different foods. We believe this makes the experience even more fun and contributes to a more successful mealtime!

Cursive Camp is designed specifically for children entering 3rd through 6th grades. This enriching program will be led by a skilled Occupational Therapist, who will utilize a multi-sensory approach to make learning cursive writing a fun and engaging experience. Whether your child is just starting to learn cursive or looking to refine their existing skills, this group will provide the perfect environment for growth and development. This program will be a wonderful addition to your child's summer activities, providing both educational benefits and a chance to make new friends. We look forward to welcoming your child to our Cursive Group and helping them discover the joy of cursive writing! Pre- requisites: Eligible participants with be able to differentiate between upper and lower case letters, identify printed letters and their sounds, and have adequate pencil control.

Arms in Action is a therapeutic day camp for kids ages 4 to 10 with a diagnosis of hemiplegia. The camp will be staffed by licensed occupational therapists and physical therapists, with a camper to therapist ratio of 3:1. The camp consists of three weeks of intensive outpatient therapy services - five days per week, three hours per day. Programming incorporates modified constraint-induced movement therapy (CIMT), bimanual intensive therapy (BIT) and structured interventions with therapeutic handling, all incorporated into fun, goal-oriented games and activities.
